No. Aurenda does not operate flights or provide emergency medical care. We build the aircraft used by air ambulance operators, charities, health systems and agencies. In a medical emergency you should always call your national emergency number, such as 999 in the UK or 112.

The Avectra 101 is Aurenda's hybrid gyroplane-helicopter air ambulance aircraft. It offers VTOL access from any terrain, a gyroplane cruise on a rotor that cannot stall, no tail rotor, 35 to 40% lower fuel burn, and dramatically lower operating cost than conventional HEMS helicopters.

By removing the tail rotor, eliminating vortex ring state and using a rotor that autorotates and cannot stall, the aircraft engineers out several of the most dangerous helicopter failure modes. An engine failure becomes a controlled glide rather than a freefall.

The Avectra 101 targets an operating cost per flight hour that is a small fraction of a conventional twin-engine HEMS helicopter, thanks to lower fuel burn, fewer parts and simpler maintenance. Lower cost means more missions can be flown within the same budget.
